The countdown begins...

I can't believe that we are already heading into the last full week of the 2014 Awards - how time flies!

I know that many of you are busy completing your entries - submission numbers are creeping upwards. I appreciate that the entry takes time and effort to complete but please do carry on and hit the 'submit' button. You've nothing to lose and if you don't quite make it this year, then you will get feedback from the independent assessors highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the application. We've been told by one previous entrant that it’s the best feedback they had ever received, and it really is invaluable if you want to have another go next year.

I hope that you've found the FAQ, checklist and myth busting blogs useful? These are a collection of posts that my excellent team have pulled together to try to cover the key issues that you've been contacting us about. In these final stages, you may well get a call from our Office to help you with any last minute questions or problems with the system. Having said that, don't wait for our call, please pick up the phone and talk to us - 0207 215 6880.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has rung in to tell us how much you've liked our 'keep in touch' and 'countdown' emails. Feedback, especially good feedback, is always welcome. On that feedback point, you'll see a link to a really quick survey in your submission confirmation email. Please do take a few minutes to complete it. Your feedback is very valuable to us and we will use it to make improvements to the Awards process where we can. Many thanks in advance for your cooperation.

So, it's just left to say the very best of luck to all the businesses and individuals entering the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2014. I hope I'll be in touch again later in the year to tell you you've been shortlisted!
