We have a guest blog today from Milli d'Hangest d'Yvoy from TestPlant, a 2013 Queen's Award for Enterprise winner in the International Trade category. TestPlant's success has led to the recent opening of new offices overseas, but I'll let Milli tell you about their celebration of that...
TestPlant threw open its London office doors for its annual Summer Reception. Representatives from The Queen's Awards Office, the Institute of Export and the City of London mingled with customers, advisers, suppliers, business partners and staff.
The sun shone - brightly! - and we sipped English wine, sampled Scottish beer and nibbled the 'brilliantly British' canapés. The scene was set with Stars and Stripes bunting and Chinese lanterns to celebrate our new offices in San Francisco and Shanghai, all accompanied by the tones of a saxophone.
The company has shown fantastic growth since its foundation in 2008 and is now a world leader in the supply of software quality tools, with customers such as Boeing, Bloomberg, BMW and BT.
Our CEO, George Mackintosh chose the event as an ideal time to present awards to another group of employees with 5 years service. He listed our Queen's Award as one of the main milestones on the company's road to success internationally, another being his trip to China with the Prime Minister in December 2013.
TestPlant - a significant successful British software company? It sure looks like it!
