Queen's Award for Innovation winners 2020, Nim's Fruit Crisps, were delighted to receive their Queen's Awards trophy and Grant of Appointment scroll, from their local Lord Lieutenant and Deputy Lord Lieutenant.
Due to restrictions, our 2020 winners presentations have been on hold; however, we are thrilled to see that our winners are now able to host these fantastic celebratory events!

It was such an occasion and an honour for us to host The Lord Lieutenant and Deputy Lord Lieutenant at our production factory with our entire team present. Lady Colgrain and Clive Stevens were so gracious in spending time with us, speaking to all the team members, learning about their duties, about the business and our processes.
Although we won the award last year, it wasn’t until the presentation and Lady Colgrain’s speech detailing the merits on which we won the award that it really sunk it what a huge achievement it was by a small and relatively new company such as Nim’s to be presented with this prestigious award. It really was quite emotional. I would really urge businesses, regardless of their size to enter and celebrate all that he Kent business community has to offer.
Transforming the snack market with a healthy ‘crisp’ alternative has seen a Kent manufacturer recognised with its first ever Queen’s Award for Innovation.
Nim’s Fruit Crisps, which employs 18 people at its bespoke A-Grade BRC accredited facility in Sittingbourne, joins an elite firm of businesses to receive this prestigious accolade after enjoying significant retail success with the UK’s only air-dried fruit and vegetable crisps and range of edible teas.
