Hello all.

We’ve been busy working on a winner’s survey which is coming shortly.

If you are a recent winner we’d love to hear about any positive impact your business has experienced as a result of winning a Queen’s Award. Watch this space for more details of when the survey goes live.

The Business Support Helpline

Our colleagues in BIS (the Enterprise Directorate to be specific) have told us they have a new telephone number for the Business Support helpline - this is 0300 456 3565 and lines will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. The Business Support Helpline (previously the Business Link Helpline) offers advice and guidance to new and existing businesses helping them to start and grow. Their trained advisors can point businesses to grants, loans and offer advice from government and other providers, nationally and locally. For companies with more complex problems who meet specific criteria, a team of experienced advisers can provide an in-depth service. Callers can choose a telephone appointment at a time convenient to them and get up to 60 minutes of free, expert advice!

Please note that calls to 0300 numbers cost the same as calls to geographic numbers (starting 01 or 02) and may be included as part of inclusive call minutes or discount schemes as defined by providers.

Twitter

Did you know that The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are on Twitter? Yes it's true! The Queen's Awards have been keenly twittering away, striving to keep you all up-to-date and well informed. It's not only a great way for us to keep in touch with UK businesses, but also a great way for you to talk to us. Why not follow @TheQueensAwards and even go so far as to send us a Tweet? We would love to hear from you (even if it is only limited to 140 characters).
