Ready for launch: The Queen's Awards YouTube channel

The week following the events of 23 July has been a busy one here at The Queen’s Awards office. The majority of my time has been spent editing video footage of the various 2013 Queen’s Awards winners that we managed to get our hands on and subsequently held hostage in our media room, all in preparation for our new YouTube channel.

At this point I feel that it would be rude for me not to introduce myself. My name is Kieran and I have recently joined the small but mighty team here at Queen’s Awards HQ and it is I that have been given the task of heralding the arrival of our new official YouTube Channel The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. The new site will feature moving pictures of all things Queen’s Awards related and you will also be able to view unofficial videos that feature The Queen’s Awards, conveniently archived and accessible via the favourites section of the channel. The site is now live so do pop over for a cup of tea… ok maybe not tea… but do feel free to have a browse.

As for last week’s celebratory afternoon. A good part of it was spent lurking behind the scenes, armed with a camera and a handful of questions, as Jules (TBCH) and I lay in wait for some Queen’s Awards winners. Upon their capture, we ended up having some lovely chats and it was wonderful to hear first hand, just how much the award meant to the companies and individual winners as well as the sheer enthusiasm behind the work that they do.

For a sneaky peek into the world of our winners, visit our YouTube channel.
